About the author (1990)

Lefton is retired Principal at Theodore Roosevelt High School, New York City.

He is currently a columnist for Northwest Runner, Outdoors NW, Seattle Magazine, and The Mountaineer, and is the author or co-author of more than ten guidebooks.

He lives with his wife Heather and cats Giuseppe and Scruffy Gray in Skagit County, Washington.
