This cookie recipe book really is fantastic for someone who is starting to branch out from recipes on the back of a package. Reason for that is, the book explains the ingredients, what makes a crunchy cookie, what makes a soft cookie... baking ratios, etc. I learned my basics for branching out with this cookbook. I have won multiple blue ribbons in the county fair, and my family and loved ones would say I am the best cookie maker west of the Mississippi. I still use this book. This book is priceless to me.
