This was an endearing story about a girl on an adventure. It has a very unique story line and dives into cultural differences. I wasn't happy with the way the story ended, but it was an interesting read. Also, the illustrations are well done and captivating! Read full review

About the author (2018)

Blake Freeman grew up in many midwestern states but lived the majority of his life in Nashville, TN. Switching schools often as a kid meant that he had to constantly adapt and make new friends. Until that happened, he would spend a lot of time alone, and developed a very creative imagination which has served him well for storytelling. Since relocating to Los Angeles, Blake has been in the entertainment business for over 12 years as an actor, director, writer, and producer of film and television. The books he read as a child shaped his view of the world. With that in mind, he has always felt that wild animals need a voice, and therefore Haibu was created.
