This book belongs on every scientist's bookshelf. Not only does it excel in its primary role -- it quickly helps the reader find the appropriate test for his problem and thoroughly describes the mechanics -- it also provides extensive background information and discussion for each test. With almost 100 pages of well-written introductory material, the book is quite accessible to scientists with varying levels of statistical knowledge. This is my favorite reference book -- after reading "Current Protocols", I feel informed; after reading this Handbook, I feel enlightened.
