Well, while writing the book I tried to be descriptive on the surroundings and with the characters at a tough time in America.
When those characters had sex, sometimes recreational, I didn't switch
to a limited description and while some people like a thorough background others may find it distracting.
It is Hard Jack because it is hard science fiction - every device must have a practical application - no whimsy or fantasy
I will add that Jack ends up married in a normal loving relationship
I think the book has merit on the subject matter which is the real search for ET and how it might yield results and then what
Hope you enjoy it, and the price is right!

About the author (2009)

John was born in the steel city of Youngstown, Ohio and attended elementary school before moving to Florida with his family. High school was uneventful and he summered at his grandparents hotel on Indian Rocks Beach where he cleaned fish for the paying guests. After graduation he learned a few trades including machinist, architectural draftsman, and auto mechanic. John married and attended University of South Florida where he was awarded a degree in computer engineering in 1991. He enjoyed a growing family and a computer consulting career until he retired in 2009. John is creating characters that he hopes are entertaining while exemplifying the misunderstood qualities of sacrifice, efficiency, logic and creativity.
