Ed Fisher discovered a weird but wonderful barbecue grill on a trip to Japan in 1974. When he tried to import it to Atlanta, he discovered that its basic concept was foreign to his market, so it had to be sold one customer at a time. Now what he calls the Big Green Egg is the fastest-growing slice of the barbecue industry.
