This is the organic growing BIBLE for those of us that garden on the islands. The one book that so many of my fellow organic farmers own as well. With great overviews of what various soil amendments achieve, and various farming and composting techniques. But the list of edible and flowering plants, many of which I had never heard of as a former mainlander, is extensive enough that I have still not found living specimens of everything in there. But the book did act as my "Sears Christmas Catalog" of plants that I wish to one day find a specimen of, and grow at the Eco-Ark Project on Hawaii.
