About the author (2008)

Dr Liam Chapman grew up in Yorkshire, England within walking distance of beautiful countryside. This gave him a great appreciation of nature and the freedom associated with it. In 1988 he came to London to study medicine and stayed in the former residence of a China Inland Mission facility.

Over the next 14 years he became an active part of Kensington Temple, London after making a clear commitment to become a Christian. He was involved in leadership at church, small group, mission and evangelism. He is now an Associate Minister and Mission Director at Harrow International Christian Centre.

He qualified in medicine in 1993 (MBBS), General Practice in 2004 (MRCGP) and Tropical Medicine and Hygiene in 1995 (DTM&H). He has begun an MSc programme in Nutritional Medicine in May 2008.

In 2001 he launched the Centre Of Integrated Medicine (CIM) to facilitate the realisation of a vision of whole person care from a biblical perspective. This involves a medical practice, health consultancy and multimedia presentation and publication. He speaks and lectures at conferences, seminars and in local groups. The vision has developed at an international level in the developing and developed world.

He is happily married to Jean and has two children, Daniel and Elisha.
