About the author (2008)

James Davies is a member of St Cross College, University of Oxford. He is a social anthropologist as well as a qualified and practicing psychotherapist working in the NHS. He obtained his doctorate in social anthropology from the University of Oxford, and is now a lecturer in the School of Human and Life Sciences, Roehampton University (London).
