The Phase to Phase, Phase to earth clearence as indicated varies from country to country. For a 400 kV System Phase to Phase cleraence of 3.0 mtr., and phase to earth clerance of 3.5 has been adopted. Like that a standard 2.5 mtr. Phase to Phase & Phase to earth of 2.5 mtr. for 220 kV system and 1.3 mtr. phase to phase, phase to earth beeing adopted in India. The book can include the range of clearence considering the systems & practises adopted in various parts of the world. This will give wide range of idea for the practisng electrcal engineers.

About the author (2001)

Hugh M. Ryan is Principle Consultant, McLaren Consulting, and is Emeritus Professor at the University of Sunderland, UK. He has published more than 190 papers and has contributed to several text books. Hugh is a fellow of the IET and IOP and is a CIGRE Distinguished Member and Freeman of the City of London. In recent years, he has undertaken strategic research in Energy, Education and Training Sectors.
