NOIRE, the undisputed Queen of Urban Erotica and bestselling author of G-Spot, Candy Licker, and Thug-A-Licious, has written her sexiest, most explosive street novel yet. Have you ever been betrayed by those you love? Violated and abused in the worst kind of way? And no matter how hard you tried to fight your way out of a trick bag, no matter how tall you tried to walk, did the cold streets of life lead you right back to your grimy destiny? A tragic daughter of the ghetto, the streets of Brooklyn were dark and perilous for young Eva Patterson. With a heroin monkey on her back and an intensely abusive mother, Eva suffered the most horrible atrocities that could be inflicted upon a defenseless child. But when a series of traumatizing events cause her to flee her Brooklyn tenement and seek refuge with her beloved cousin Fiyah in Harlem, Eva seizes the opportunity to turn her life around and scores a lucrative gig as a model for a top urban wear clothing line. But fate is not done wreaking havoc in Eva's life yet. Just as she is on the brink of progress she meets King Brody, a vicious Harlem drug lord who runs Bricks, the hottest rap club in town. Unbeknownst to Eva, her cousin Fiyah's thirst for glory on the mic leads him to cut a killer deal with Brody. A trade-off is arranged, and in exchange for his cooperation, Fiyah gets a recording contract--and Brody gets Eva. The problem is, Eva already has a man. Ice Mello Williams, is a hot Harlem rapper who has a bitter feud going with Eva's cousin, Fiyah, and is determined to rip his recording contract. Torn between the men she loves, and relentlessly pursued by the violent kingpin Brody, Eva becomes an unwilling pawn in a
deadly game of cat and mouse. Can the two men in her life help her escape the brutal grip of King Brody, or will she end up losing her life in his sadistic trap?

User Review  - Coolie - Borders

I really like this book, it has a good plot with a suprising ending. The only thing (which is not a problem) they had too much & long sex sceens. Its good in a movie but, to me, not is a book, but is was very graphic & entising. Read full review

This book was an awesome read. It was a non-stop page turner. Full of drama & heart breaking decision making, "Hittin the Bricks" is sure to evoke lots of emotion. The end is rather sad but over-all, the book was excellent! Read full review
