About the author (2003)

Sherry Ross covers the New Jersey Devils for the New York Daily News. In 1992, she became the color commentator on the Devils' radio broadcasts--making her the NHL's first ever female team sportscaster. Before that, she also broke barriers as one of the first female sportswriters to cover a major news beat when, in her rookie season, she followed the New York Rangers to the Stanley Cup finals.

MICHAEL L. BERGER is Vice President for Academic Affairs at Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvannia. He serves as Secretary of the Society of Automotive Historians.
