Mavromatis does an excellent job of examing the concept of Hynogogia, that dream-like state you experience just before you drop off to sleep and as you wake up.
He explains how Hypnogogia is the
state you enter during meditation and how this is often the mental state where solutions and creative thoughts are formed.
The book also describes how some psychic phenomenia can be explained and indeed initiated by Hypnagogic states;presenting such phenomenia in a scientific and yet readable way. There is so much to take in and get excited about.Definitely worth a read.My only criticism? it is so hard to get hold of this book; the liberary took a long time to source it and the second hand price of these books is crazy! Please make it more available and more affordable.
