About the author (1981)

Evelyn Anthony was born on July 3, 1928 in London. She began her career writing historical romances. She explored the romantic lives of such actual historical figures as Anne Boelyn. However, she eventually became unhappy with this genre and began writing novels of suspense, including The Assassin and The Doll's House, and contemporary thrillers replete with espionage, terrorism, and smuggling. Yet, her thrillers still contain plenty of love and male/female attraction and feature women who overcome terrible odds to win their men. Anthony also writes under the pseudonyms Anthony Evelyn and Eve Stephens.
