About the author (2009)

"I Believe" was written by Sheila Mateo. Sheila is a first time author who enjoys to express herself through her work. Sheila has been in the field of education for over seven years and continues to increase her knowledge in the field. She first started working as a teacher's aide through high school then pursued her education at California State University Long Beach. She receieved her Bachelor's degree in 2002 in communicative disorders. Following graduation, she was offered a position as a speech and language specialist helping children with learning and speaking disabilities. Later she continued her education and receievd her masters degree from the University of La Verne in 2008 in the area of child development. Sheila is a creative, hard working individual who continues to enjoy helping and supporting others and was inspired by many of her own life experiences to write this book.
