About the author (2008)

Lawrence Terrill Jones is a spoken word poet, songwriter, music producer, actor, member of the International Society of Poets and member of the US Air Force.  He was born is Vicksburg, MS and moved to Jackson, MS with his family when he was eight years old.  He started writing songs when he was eleven years old and later discovered a passion for poetry.  Lawrence graduated from Murrah High School in 1996, enlisted in the US Air Force and left for basic training at Lackland Air Force Base , TX on 13 Aug 1996.


During his military career, he renewed his love for writing and received several awards for his poems from the International Society of Poets like the Editor’s Choice Award.  Some of the works in this collection are located on the website Poetry.com under Lawrence T Jones.


Lawrence holds a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education Degree (BSOE) for Business Administration and Occupational Education from Wayland Baptist University.  He is currently working on his Master’s in Human Resources at University of Central Michigan.
