I Just Wanted To Go Fishing, The True Adventures Of Gangster Granny, is a humorously written true account about the effects a violent Alaskan street gang had upon a local hair salon owner (Gangster Granny, aka Mary Oyster), her family, her fishing adventures, and her hair salon in 2001. It is the true story of how she became known as Gangster Granny through salon clients who never believed that there are gangs in Alaska!

Mary Oyster is a hairstylist in Anchorage, Alaska who moved there in 1983 from Colorado where she had been a  fishin’ fool her entire life.  After discovering the Fish Panic of Alaskan streams, she decided to stay on and raise a family and catch lots of fish!  This is her first written book, and only the person who lived this story could possibly write it!
