This "photographic album" is the outcome of a 7 year project in diverse public photographic archives lead by academic and thesis coordinator of the School of Communication, Juana Crochet and two of her colleagues. The book comprises 131 photographs (many inedited) that illustrate different aspects of the history of Chile spanning from the 19th century War of the Pacific to the plebiscite of 1988. The photographic collection, as explained by the author is organized in 28 topic sections "trying to account for what we are as a nation and rescue our visual memory. A book, in definitive, that bring new lights and shadows on our country and in ourselves, forcing us to put our attention in "us" and not in individuality"
