About the author (1994)

Lucjan Dobroszycki is the editor of The Chronicle of the Lodz Ghetto and the author of Reptile Journalism: The Official Polish Language Press Under the Nazis, 1939-1945. He is Professor of History at YIVO Institute for Jewish Research and Yeshiva University.

Barbara Kirshenblatt-Gimblett is Professor of Performance Studies and Professor of Hebrew and Judaic Studies at New York University. Past president of the American Folklore Society, she is a Research Associate of YIVO Institute for Jewish Research.

Published in cooperation with YIVO Institute for Jewish Research.
