The chapters focus on topics that address a variety of issues in higher education and teacher education and are organized into four sections. This volume in the series presents new paradigms that can lead practitioners to create more powerful experiences, and lead researchers to a better understanding of the relationships between service-learning, participants, context, and outcomes. If implemented, the models in this volume can do much to help us better understand the essence of service-learning and add to its value to education and the development of engaged citizens.
