Fans of science fiction, rejoice for here comes a saga that will keep you glued to your favorite e-reader, procrastinating work, sleeping very late until you finish "this" volume or any other of the entire series. I've read numerous books and can say that this series is right there at the top. The only other series that kept me so connected was "Perry Rhodan" but sadly, there is no English translation and I don't read German... but I digress.
The "In Her Name" series and all sequels, tells the story of war between Humans and Kreelans but what makes it so compelling is that the author really goes deep into the Kreelan history to give you a nice panorama of "our" enemies but later makes you sympathize with them when you read "Empire".
I can't wait to see what's around the corner, ie. the next chapter of the current book I'm reading. Sure, sometimes I got annoyed by the "bloodsong" and swords but when finally you read Empire, it all falls in place.
The characters are sufficiently developed and strong enough to make a mark by themselves.
I am not going to summarize the book as the author's description is enough so, do yourself a favor and get the series. Get them all because you will have to !

I don't read a lot of books (something I'm trying to change) but I'm glad I chose this one to read. It's a fantastic story with some great characters. Certainly going to be reading the series and can't wait to see what's to come. Highly recommend!
