I have shared this book with the students in my class, it's a good multicultural book about Hispanic families the text is even bilingual this is a plus.

Carmen Lomas Garza has exhibited her paintings and papel picado art in galleries and museums throughout the United States and internationally. She lives in San Francisco.

HARRIET ROHMER is the founder, Publisher, and Executive Director of Children's Book Press in San Francisco, California, the pioneering non-profit press devoted to publishing multicultural and bilingual literature for children. Her creative vision has shaped the development of more than sixty critically acclaimed books, including Just Like Me: Stories and Self-Portraits by Fourteen Artists. Rohmer lives in San Francisco, California.

Francisco X. AlarcA3n is the author of ten volumes of poetry and several books of bilingual poetry for children. He has been a recipient of several literary prizes, including the Before Columbus Foundation American Book Award, the Pen Oakland Josephine Miles Award, and the UC Irvine Chicano Literary Prize. He currently teaches at the University of California, Davis, where he directs the Spanish for Native Speakers Program.
