In the Midst of a Storm
The book is about the tragic death of my only son, Tyler R. Coward. He was shot and killed on June 12th, 2007. This book will take you on a journey where no family wants to go. It will give you a blow by blow description of what happens to a family when they receive the news of losing a loved one to homicide, the feelings that follow, how homicide effects a family afterwards, and the long, drawn out process of dealing with the judicial system.

With great grace and insight, Victoria has shared her painful story in a way that draws the reader in. This book is a must-read for anyone who wants to better understand how homicide can affect a family and community.
I went to school with Victoria and my former church faith tabernacle use to always visit Bishop Cowards church every year.. for service and I remember the messages that he preached on faith and holding on to God..no matter what..I mean he was anointed by God and he was a watchtower of strength and courage, and I believe that it extended to his daughter Victoria and though I have since moved out of New Haven Connecticut, I admire her strength and courage and faith she was always kind and always had a smile on her face I never saw her angry this took a whole lot for anyone to go through God knows it was the lord who had to give her the strength but the power to forgive oh my God that is the same tower of strength that her dad had when she faced this senseless tragedy all I could say is something good has to come out of this a hope scholarship...in his name or a park or building a center, a day care center in the church, a something...please just don't let his death be in vain keep his memory alive, he may be gone but he is not forgotten I applaud you Victoria and his Father and Your Family Take Care God Bless You
