Independent Pasts has a very large range of apeal.  It is a must read for all motorcycle enthusiests,  as well as an insightful look at the process necessary to patch up relationships that have wandered off track.  The mother of the author insists that it tells an important story of the importance of good, strong adult male relationships (in a healthy way).  Guaranteed to make you laugh out loud and shed a soft tear, this adventure filled memoir is an easy read that you will not want to put down.

I rarely write reviews of books I've read, but this book is one of the best I've read in the last 20 years. I usually read non fiction or trade related books and at the advice of a freind went out and urchased a copy of Independent Pasts by James cameron and was not disappointed, in fact I couldn't puyt it down. There's no small irorny the book was recommended by the same motorcyling buddy that recommended zen. This time my freind of 20+ years was right ! (twice in twenty plus years!). Go out and beg, borrow and if necessary steal this book, you will read it from cover to cover. Thanks for taking the time to write it james-I thoroughly enjoyed it!
