FBI Chief Investigator Edward Ross has his hands full all of a sudden because of an internal crime. A call from a former New York City rookie cop recruited to help during a JFK Airport sting has panicked. The rookie had worked undercover with a gang of cargo handlers until he was discovered. After exposure he was placed in the Witness Protection Program and relocated. The rookie claims that a guy who also worked at JFK at the time recognized him. He is afraid that this guy has underworld connections and fears for his life. Ross's research uncovers that there was a problem at the time of the sting, specifically; one of the criminals claimed that a bag that was taken from him when arrested contained more that one and a quarter million dollars, now it's missing. The prime suspect seems to be the former bureau head of the sting operation. The mystery revolves around a missing lawman that was 'killed' during a car fire the night of sting, the casket he was buried in and entire funeral appears to be suspect. The casket is missing its contents might solve the mystery of the missing money.
