Evelyn Lozada, the breakout star of VH1’s hit reality show Basketball Wives, brings you her first novel in the hot new series The Wives Association. Inner Circle is a jaw-dropping peek into the lives of a group of women married to professional athletes. It will be impossible to determine where real life ends and fiction begins in this gripping page-turner.
Inner Circle depicts the life of Evelyn Lozada’s off-camera alter ego Eve Inez. Much like on The Basketball Wives, Inner Circle reveals everything athlete’s wives live through complete with the cheating, scandal, manipulation and gossip. However this time, nothing is being held back.
None of the wives are prepared for how addictive their rich lifestyles can be and find themselves stooping to unimaginable levels of deception to preserve their social status. Eve encourages the wives to band together and becomes the mastermind behind the drastic measures these women are willing to take to maintain their celebrity, until she herself comes face to face with a reality that shakes her to the core. The riveting ending will leave readers dying for more.

I was disappointed that Eve did not prove herself to be as intelligent or strong as the book portrait. The ease with which she dismissed her marriage and a twenty years friendship over something that happened before she was in the picture and knowing they did not tell her because they love her and was trying to protect her. It maybe maturity talking but throwing away what she has because she wanted to be invincible is sad. I guess it is a reflection of our society it is all about me and my feelings and my hurts. The world revolves around me, myself and I kind of attitude. She turned out to be weak and no better than those she was trying not to be like. I guess it is hard to come by a decent woman with true grit and value nowadays, that a woman like me could respect. She needs the help of a good psychologist or psychiatrist, her mom messed her up pretty bad. Good luck on the next book, but I will not be reading it nor recommending to anyone else; if the epilogue is an indication of what's to come. She lost her superwoman status. Eve sleeping around like everybody else.
P.S. Also it is not necessary to be so graphic.
I brought the book initially just to support Evelyn but it end up being the best book I read in awhile I highly recommended the book it's a must read
