The material in this book is presented in the form of simple descriptions of the techniques involved in investment property valuation, together with the extensive use of representative examples. The book is aimed principally at property professionals working in the fields of asset valuation, investment appraisal and advice, portfolio management and landlord and tenant work. Tim Havard is currently principal lecturer in the department of Real Estate Management at Oxford Brookes University. He has held academic positions at UMIST in Manchester and at UTS in Sydney. He is an active researcher in the fields of valuation, investment and development and is the author of a number of articles in these fields as well as a recent book on property development and an RICS FIBRE research report on valuation practice. His professional career included spells in private practice, in the construction industry and as an investment surveyor for a major life assurance company.
