About the author (2011)

Dr. Sultan Ahmad was born and brought up in Bangladesh. He has an M. Sc. Degree in Statistics from Rajshahi University, Bangladesh. Subsequently, He earned his Ph.D. degree from the Australian National University, Canberra, Australia. Dr. Ahmad has 37 years of teaching and research experience in both Public and Private Universities of Bangladesh. Dr. Ahmad started his academic career as a lecturer in the department of Statistics, Rajshahi University in 1967. He worked as a professor of Statistics, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Provost, Shah Amanat Hall, member of the Syndicate, Planning and Development committee, Finance Committee in the University of Chittagong during 1968 to 1998. He was also engaged as a professor and Dean of Faculties in the East West University, a leading Private University in Bangladesh during 1998 to 2004. Dr. Ahmad has 37 years of teaching and research experience in both Public and Private Universities of Bangladesh. Dr. Ahmad started his academic career as a lecturer in the department of Statistics, Rajshahi University in 1967. He worked as a professor of Statistics, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Provost, Shah Amanat Hall, member of the Syndicate, Planning and Development committee, Finance Committee in the University of Chittagong during 1968 to 1998. He was also engaged as a professor and Dean of Faculties in the East West University, a leading Private University in Bangladesh during 1998 to 2004. He has to his credit more than 25 professional articles published in international journals. He is also the author of more than 40 articles published in the leading daily newspapers in Bangladesh and published in a book entitled "Bibeker Janala" (ISBN 984 300 001805-4).
