Jake Daily faces new challenges. To get money to save his failing company he's forced to produce a TV sitcom. Unfortunately, his luck leaves when a young woman is found dead behind his seaside house. Her throat cut and strange circles are drawn on the skin.

Later in New Jersey, another murder victim with identical markings. It had happened behind his rented cabin. One cop arrests him when he saves a female officer's life.

Trouble explodes when two of his cast members in "The Girls from Madison High" left. The scripts must be rewritten quickly and he must find new actors before he can film the episodes.

Meanwhile, Sarah Darling, a famous painter, fancies Jake and makes a huge demand on his time. He makes an unexpected discovery in the murder case and the FBI tells him to butt out.

His sitcom begins to make progress and it becomes a success. However, he gets death threats and neither he nor the cops can find the murder.

On his last day on the east coast, the bloodthirsty Killer, armed with his gun, traps him and only a miracle can save his life this time.
