About the author (2007)

Joy Bauer was born in 1963. She is a nutritionist, author, and founder of Joy Bauer Nutrition Centers. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiological Sciences and a Master's in nutrition from New York University. She can be seen on the Today show as their health expert and is a contributing editor for Parade and Woman's Day magazine. Her books include Your Inner Skinny, Joy Bauer's Food Cures, and Joy's Life Diet which is a New York Times Best Seller.

Joy Bauer has built one of the largest nutrition centers in the country and is the bestselling author of Your Inner Skinny, Joy's LIFE Diet, and Joy Bauer's Food Cures. She is the nutrition and health expert for the Today show and a contributing editor to Parade and Woman's Day magazine. She lives in New York with her husband and three children.
