The author deals with the Architectural features, Chandella kings, chronology of temples and also discusses the sculptural art of Khajuraho dividing them in six broad categories as well as Apsara or Sura-sundari. He also deals briefly with the socio-cultural background as depicted from the Khajuraho sculptures. In one chapter he has thrown light on erotic sculptures and their significance.
