About the author (2019)

Karin was born in Newport Beach, California, and grew up in neighboring Laguna Beach, California. Her love of the ocean inspired her to study Marine Science in both California and Mexico. Together, Karin and her husband, George, enjoyed competing in open ocean distance swims and local sprint triathlons. Karin has also spent time volunteering in the country of Rwanda with her husband working on eye care and clean water projects. In 2011, her passion turned to the wild wolf, in which during the last eight years Karin has become a leader in wolf conservation. She has co-written two national award-winning education programs.
