‘Kośalī Meghadūta‘ is my Complete Kośalī Lyrical Translation of Poet Kālidāsa’s
Sanskrit Kāvya ‘Meghadūtam’.
In Indian Litearature, for the first time, Kālidāsa’s ‘Meghadūta’ has been transcreated into Kośalī language in my pen.
‘Kośalī Meghadūta’ has been composed with a new design of sweet melodious metre of folk-songs popular in Kośalī language of Western Orissa. A significant literary work of Classical Literature, it can be included in Kośalī Literature.
‘Meghadūta’ embodies two parts : Pūrva Megha and Uttara Megha.
Pūrva Megha generally contains 66 ślokas and Uttara Megha 55 ślokas.
So accordingly total 121 ślokas have been translated by me into Kośali language.
