Last Breath by Michael Prescott has a good premise (the boogeyman appears to a small girl, and she battles fear all her life), and the characters have a lot of potential. However, the plot hinged on coincidences and didn't seem plausible to me. Read full review

Good mystery. Creepy serial killer chases child, no one believes her. She grows up to chase criminals. Pretty cliche but a good read. Read full review
