"Leading the Matheamtical Sciences Department" provides insights and advice from math sciences department chairs and administrators. The focus is on leadership rather than the technical details of managment. The book can provide a self-guided professional development experience, or it can be used as the basis for discussion. The material will be useful to all academic department chairs, not just to the chairs of mathematical sciences departments.
