Follow Mary Wiley, an independent woman who has found her place in the world, attorney Lydia Elliott, a survivor whose past is her biggest enemy, and Louisa Murphey, an idealistic young journalist looking for answers as they embark on a life journey that takes some unexpected twists and turns, ultimately leading to a trek across the sea to Scotland. With the aid of a determined archeology professor, a clever Scotland Yard agent and a passionate, rebel Scotsman, their adventure not only leads them down the paths of their ancestors to discover the legacies and secrets left behind, but also into their own future.
