I was delighted with what I've so far read of this book, it talks of many subtle differences between us and straight women, spoken from direct experience and wisdom. Being a 53 year old life long feminine lesbian it spoke to my heart personally by talking about why butch women have such a hard time believing fems are truely lesbian.
It also is a very important topic now that lesbianism is by far the fastest growing sexual preference. I don't think I have one straight friend presently who has not mentioned to me that she wished she were a lesbian.
The one thing I wish the book addressed more is why there are fewer and fewer butch women now than there used to be. I am blessed to have found "mine" , but when I was growing up there was about 50/50, and my last sweet heart ( 30 years my elder) says when she grew up it was 80 percent butch......now it's obviously 80 percent fem ...or more. Are we all generally moving toward pure androgyny and just need to explore every thing first? Or are humans in general moving toward a more feminine perspective? Or is it social acceptance that make so many outwardly appearing fems currently? This interests me. A topic I'd be interested in.
Thank you for this lovely book, I look forward to savoring it slowly.
