Letters from "An Unknown Writer"

Front Cover
Dorrance Publishing Company, May 14, 2014 - Biography & Autobiography - 80 pages

Grace E. Cote shares many personal and heartfelt thoughts on life in her collection of letters, Letters from “An Unknown Writer.”  Each letter is composed from the author to someone who is not specifically identified, be it an “Unknown Publisher,” “An All-Too-Familiar-Body,” or “An Unknown Mother.”  The author uses the form of letters to tell the story of her stormy life, which started with an abusive childhood and fed into mental illness.  Years of intensive therapy and these letters themselves, led to a healing and ability to experience the joy and awe in her life.

Cote’s letters allow the reader to see into her soul and invite the reader to contemplate his or her own existence.  More than simply an autobiography or personal letters, Cote’s collection should interest those who want to know what life is like for a woman who has suffered in various ways during life, but who has awakened to experience life at a deeper lever.
