Whether our loss involves a person, a lifestyle, or a career, the process of grieving and healing is similar. Do you feel like you're trapped in quick sand and every move is taking you deeper? Is your life joyless and you often wonder if it's worth the struggle? When nighttime comes do you breathe a deep sigh of relief, thankful for a few hours of oblivion only to wake up and start the vicious cycle all over again? If you answered yes to any of the questions above then "Life Interrupted: Grief Recovery Guide and Workbook", is the help you need to transition from bleakness to blessing. The author, Paulina, is well acquainted with pain and loss and the joy that healing brings. At the age of seven she experienced the traumatic death of her teenage sister by suicide. Her loss was compounded by the chaos at home due to an alcoholic parent, divorce and intense bullying at school. God, who had always been present in her life, became her anchor. As a young adult hoping to gain insight, Paulina enrolled at a state university as a Psychology major. She eventually earned her Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and is registered with the Board of Behavioral Science as an LPC Intern. She currently conducts "Healing From Loss" workshops. Between 1996 and 2007, Paulina experienced heart-wrenching loss again, this time resulting from the death of several extended family members. To cope with the losses and to help and encourage family and friends, she wrote "Life Interrupted: Grief Recovery Guide and Workbook". Her book provides prompts (that the reader responds to) targeting specific areas associated with loss: denial, depression, anger, fear, hurt, guilt, etc. As the reader moves through these and other emotions and begins to experience healing, a supplementary section guides the reader in discovering their passion, living in the present and planning for the future. Regain control. Put into action the help that's available in "Life Interrupted: Grief Recovery Guide and Workbook" and live your life with purpose and fulfillment!

"This helpful new book is interactive --- helping you journal, react, respond and process your feelings as you move through the stages of grief. Paulina Jaramillo offers real help, real hope if you've experienced trauma or loss. Everyone processes grief differently. Sometimes it may feel as if you're "stuck" in a phase or a stage --- that's normal, but this book can help you understand what you're experiencing, plus show you some practical, helpful next steps. Excellent for anyone in a "Celebrate Recovery" program, or anyone who has experienced grief, loss, or crisis. "Dr. David & Lisa Frisbie THE CENTER FOR MARRIAGE AND FAMILY STUDIES
