About the author (2001)

Marty McLennan graduated from Concordia University with a specialization in Communications. He has worked as a writer, photographer, columnist, ski instructor, and a professional ski patroller in Nagano prior to the Nagano Games. In 1991 and 1992 he captained Pepsi's Ultimate Ski Team. Since then he has written and shot features and shorts for over a dozen North American magazines. He is a regular contributor for Ski Canadaand Exploremagazines. He remains based in Montreal, Quebec and works on features and shorts that find him exploring the four corners of the world.
