Atlantis! The legendary lost continent comes under the close scrutiny of archaeologist David Hatcher Childress. From Ireland to Turkey, Morocco to Eastern Europe, or remote islands of the Mediterranean and Atlantic, Childress takes the reader on an astonishing quest for mankind's past. Ancient technology, cataclysms, megalithic construction, lost civilisations, and devastating wars of the past are all explored in this amazing book. Childress challenges the sceptics and proves that great civilisations not only existed in the past but that the modern world and its problems are reflections of the ancient world of Atlantis.

The Tuatha de Danann from Ireland and the Tuatha de from Israel are not related. Christian monks called Israelites the Tuatha de to assimilate and erase Celtic culture.

Page 8 of this book gives a picture of Alexandrian stargazer with a primitive telescope. As we have seen, Alexandrian library and museum were created by Ptolemy, Alexander’s general and a disciple of Aristotle who came to India with Alexander and had a long relation with Indian kings and scholars of the period . The IVC Harappan script shows such a figure is what struck me first. What Indian scholars taught the Greek conquerors was thought, reasoning, observation, methods of observation, how to analyse the observations .And they were doing it for several generations and that is what we now call the Greek legacy. What we see in Egypt is not the developmental and thought processes in stages , but a legacy from somewhere lese transplanted en masse into its soil as pyramids and the vaasthu ,learning system. To know its source ristotle had sent his disciples to India and from their effort a logical thoughtful new Chinthamani was created in Alexandria and Greek/Roman traditions sprang from it.
Atlanteans and Indians believe that “Many civilizations similar to our own have come and gone on earth several times .on page 14 of this book the authors say:- “Unlike the other ancient nations such as Egypt,China,Brittany,or Peru , the ancient Hindus did not have their history books ordered destroyed and therefore we have one of the few true links to our extremely ancient and scientifically advanced past.”On page 15 it continues like this:- Modern scholars value ancient Hindu texts , as they are one of the last tenuous connections to the ancient libraries of the past “. This exactly is why I try to explore all possible texts in Sanskrit and compare it with modern science and arts so that contemporary scholars get a glimpse of the ancient ways of learning of the human race.
The authors say that in 4th century AD electrical battery existed in temple of Hathor in Egypt.on page 41 a drawing is given with a serpent in center , two people carrying the battery and on hind end is something like a wire.I will try to draw it here (Diagramatic representation of the drawing ). Compare this eggshaped structure with the serpentine power of the Chinthamani which we have seen earlier. This Egyptian painting is not a mere fig of imagination, because in Iraq such Electrical devices were discovered by German archeologists. In Indian texts the serpentine power of the Ida,Pingala,Sushumna Naadi , which in totality is called Kundalini , is compared to electrical lightening (Soudaamini sannibham). And the chintamani is at the forehead of the serpentine power.
On page 45 of the book we see an ancient Trade route map in which South India is marked as Meluha land of the ancient Sumerian,Arabian,Assyrian texts which in one of my earlier books I have pointed out.How the Aamalaka became aamaluha and Meluha in pronounciation I had dealt with in detail elsewhere .
According to the book there are 8 languages in the clay texts of Hattusas .The Turk Hittites encompass a wide range of trading languages from India (see page 57) , says the book. They include the Sumerian,Akkadian(Hittite),protoIndian among others. And they had some relationship with the Phoenicians which the author does not specify .Refer my book corridor of Time (http://www.scribd.com/doc/102186932 ) for details and evidences of the Indian and Phoenician connections.
A one million Dollar question the author asks : How does the Hittite know that the sun rise up out of the sea ? In Anatolia or Europe it is not possible to see such a phenomenon. He gives two answers : 1 Either during their migration from some other land they might have watched the sun rising out of the Eastern side from Caspian or Black sea (which makes the migrants from East ) 2 Or they are coming from Asia, more specifically India , or from East coast of America. The King Mu watthallis ( Mooventhar traditions of South India as oceanic people I have mentioned earlier ) of 1300 BC ruled the Hittites and it is in his prayer we find : “Sun, You rise out of the sea…” .Then Hittites are not people who migrated
