Love Mad: Poems of Rumi
Rumi, or The Master as he is referred to in Greater Iran, recited his poetry in a state of ecstasy induced by music and dance, while his chief disciple Hussam inscribed the couplets and odes. Widely recognized as the greatest mystical poet of all time, Rumi's significance has moved UNESCO to designate 2007 as World Molana Rumi Year in celebration of the 800th anniversary of his birth. Translated into modern English and as fresh today as when originally composed, every verse is a delight, bringing meaning and spirituality from above into daily life.
