Michael Bachmann’s book "Making’em Cheer" packs in its 229 pages much more than just a personal account of a Harvard cheerleader. Based on his own experience, Bachmann offers valuable insights on college application process, especially in terms of strategies and analysis that can be useful for any high school student involved in sports and aspiring to continue the competition at college level. This section is extremely persuasive and perhaps his strongest contribution. Bachmann is very innovative when he links the cheerleading with success and leadership. The list of Americans he identified as past cheerleaders ranging from politicians to celebrities is quite diverse and interesting. It includes George W. Bush, Ruth Bader Ginsburg , Madonna and Snooki among others.
