About the author (1988)

Blue has had careers as a lawyer and a writer. In 1967 she was one of the first lawyers hired by the fledgling DNA program, a legal aid program for Navajos and Hopis. In 1970 she opened a private practice on the Navajo Indian Reservation in Arizona. She is the founder and president of Friends of Hubbell Trading Post National Historic Site, Inc.
