I read this book when I was 10 years old. It helped me understand what it meant to grow from a boy into a man, and still resonates now that I'm middle aged. It also include demographics of race, geography, birth and death statistics. It recently crossed my mind and I wondered if I could locate it in Google Books. The minimal preview provided proved it was the one. I think there is a newer edition since this was published in 1976.
