A must read for students of Koei-Kan Karate-Do. This book has many stories and secrets that O'Sensei Frost would tell and transmit orally. I learn something every time that I pick this book up to read.

About the author (2010)

Shihan Brian Frost held an 8th degree black belt (Hachidan) and an International Instructor's Certificate (Kokusai Shihan Menkyo) in Karate. He was a direct pupil of Master Onishi Eizo, founder of the Koei-Kan system of Karate-Do and Chairman of the All-Japan Karate-Do Association.#13; #13; Sensei Frost served his apprenticeship under Master Onishi and studied in Japan as an Uchi Deshi (live-in disciple) at the Master's home.#13; #13; As one of Master Onishi's senior students, Sensei Frost served as the Chief Technical Instructor and National Director for Koei-Kan in the United States. In 1972 Sensei Frost captured the All-Japan Koei-Kan Championship held in the Kamata Sports Stadium in Tokyo and has competed, instructed and demonstrated world-wide. Sensei Frost became acquainted with western style boxing at an early age (eventually accruing an amateur record of 21-3) and began the study of Karate during the early 1960's. With more than forty years of experience in Karate, Sensei Frost was a guiding force in the promulgation of the Koei-Kan system.
