Excellent reference for Mexican medals. The amount of work it took to create this book must have been monumental. Most medals have an actual size black and white photo, description, size, weight and composition specifications. Some have mintage figures. It is organized by Events, Business or Commercial, Expositions or Fairs, Personages, Bolos, and Scholastic awards. This organization sometimes makes it hard to find what you are looking for if you are not sure of the medal's classification.
The book does not cover just medals issued by the Mexican Mint (Casa de Moneda) but also various private medal makers. It only covers medals issued from 1821 to 1971. There is a volume I covering earlier issues.
This book is generally hard to find, and sells for $80 to $200 depending on condition. There is no other reference like it, so if you want to know more about Mexican medals, this is the book for you.
