This book is about the author who was born and raised in the south with eight sibling and a large number of relatives while living on the family's plantation until she graduated from high school. 

The author moved to two northern states and was very surprise to learn that the people in the two states were as different as night and day with comparison to the southern states. 

She stayed over forty years and only had two jobs, and worked about twenty years on each one bofore moving back to her birth state to retire.

About the author (2009)

As a teenager A.R. Pittmon had dreams of writting a book about her life, and she accomplished that dream in 2005.  The author thought it was time to tell some history and stories about the family in her book, "Memories of a Missillmich Woman."
