Meridian exercise is a health regimen to open relaxing points and facilitate energy circulation. Using pulling and stretching exercises, it increases flexibility, strength, and balance of the body to increase natural healing capacity. Presentation of exercises is clear, systematic and easy to follow. There are exercises to address common complaints including headache, backache, PMS, and shoulder pain, as well as conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure. Positions are explained in a detailed and friendly manner, and are broken down into a step-by-step explanation.

I am a teacher of Yoga and Massage Therapy, and have access to so many books on the subject of self healing exercise. I get them sent to me for free from publishing companies. But this book (and #2) are the ones that keep referring to when I want to find the right exercise for my students and clients. The principle behind each exercise is expressed with such elegance, making it easy and efffective to transfer to others. Plus I like the color photographs. I found Meridian Exercise to be a truly holistic approach to self healing exercise that unites physicality with energy and the mind. I recommend it as reference to all my students and clients. Also...this book shouldn't be classified as juvenile non-fiction. Enjoy!
