The Children's Book Review had this to say about this thoughtful story in its June 2013 review:
"Milo’s Way is a clever take on the issues of peer pressure and conformity. Getting our little ones
to follow their hearts instead of the pack is often a complicated undertaking. Milo has a mind of his own and is a compelling example of bravery despite his friends’ attempts to scare him. His friends appreciate his ingenuity and agree that sometimes you have to 'try a different path.'
Milo’s Way is perfect for boys and girls ages 3-7. The beautiful illustrations bring the story to life in vivid colors."

About the author (2011)

Born in Washington, DC and growing up in Virginia, Joel Anthony learned about the big things that seemed to matter to most adults and the smaller things that seemed to matter to most children. His loving parents opened the world for him, teaching him to imagine, to create and, most importantly, to relax. Along the way he received a degree in philosophy from The College of William & Mary, an event which may explain his penchant for dexterous language and songs of love. When not worshipping his lovely wife and entertaining his sons, Joel writes books intended to inspire and amuse young children curious about their own worlds. Two of these books, Milo’s Way and The Boy Who Dreamed Himself are available as e-books. Joel hopes to have two others, Ping Pong Finds Himself and A Knock on the Door, available for purchase in the near future.
